The LX 9000 is a high end vario navigation system with extremely bright colour 5.6” display, running on well proven LX 8000 firmware with Multilanguage interface. Simple and logical user interface is designed for top-level competitors, club operation as well as for gliding beginners. Instrument is preloaded with worldwide terrain maps, airspace and airports databases. Integrated FLARM collision avoidance system and flight recorder, meeting the highest level IGC specification. It manages complex tasks with assigned areas manipulation and real-time flight optimization according to FAI and OLC rules.
Integrated ADS-B adds to the functionality by adding a transponder and ADS-B receiver. In addition to Flarm equipped aircraft, the unit will also provide proximity warnings for transponder equipped aircraft. Aircraft without ADS-B out capability will be shown with approximate range and altitude difference (Mode-C). Aircraft with ADS-B out will lead to the same warnings as for Flarm equipped aircraft.
Click 'View Video' next to the pictures to check out the optional touch screen display! With the addition of the touchscreen, panning across the map display, zooming in and out, choosing your 'turning point' within an AAT sector or previewing your task after input is all made far easier.
