NAVBOYS NB-1 CHART AID
The first of its kind - we have created a chart aid for glider pilots. This makes marking up your aviation chart easier than ever before. Now you can accurately depict any type of common observation zone on your chart which is extremely helpful for the mental 'walk through' of your task pre-flight.
Jake believes drawing your task accurately and spending the time mentally preparing for your flight while looking at the task area, airspace and terrain before you go flying is one of the best ways of improving your performance in the air. Spend more of your time thinking on the ground before you take off, then spend less time working things out in the air - leaving you to focus on the sky ahead.
This chart aid contains the following features:
- FAI sector stencil
- Standard BGA sector stencil
- Enhanced BGA sector stencil
- BGA start zone stencil
- commonly used cylinder (0.5km, 1km, 2km, 3km and 5km radius) stencils
- sector assistant (this is the large radial feature in the middle) allowing accurate depiction and precise orientation of any sector (including AAT sectors with fixed angle orientation)
- 1 : 500 000 kilometer scale
- 1 : 250 000 kilometer scale
Please note - all stencils are sized for use on 1:500 000 charts only!
All stencils are optimised for our preferred choice of marker pens (which can be found here) but they can be used with near perfect accuracy with any marker pen for your map.
