Push Step
The TX56A display is both clear and bright, showcasing primary and secondary frequencies alongside identifiers for airfields and VORs. The ‘Push Step’ knob allows for quick frequency changes, moving from 25 kHz to 50 kHz without distracting from the outside view. Dual Watch functionality lets you monitor two frequencies at once, essentially serving as a secondary radio.
Say Again
Equipped with a ‘Say Again’ feature, a single button press replays the last received transmission. This feature is perfect for students and seasoned pilots alike, eliminating the need to ask air traffic for repeated instructions.
VOR
The TX56A Nav receiver is optimized for simplicity. It decodes Morse code for VOR and ILS, and it can monitor a secondary VOR, enhancing route navigation with an additional standby VOR radial. This feature allows quick and accurate position fixes by displaying both the primary and secondary VOR radials.
Built-in CDI
The integrated graphical CDI allows pilots to navigate easily without an external CDI. The TX56A also supports various display options, compatible with numerous cockpit instruments. Once tuned, the Nav receiver identifies the station by decoding its Morse identifier, and the CDI needle automatically centers, showing a direct bearing to the VOR with easy switching between inbound and outbound radials.
Product Design
With a low-profile design, the TX56A does not require external cooling fans, making it a compact and efficient option for both new installations and retrofitting. Its compatibility with popular legacy radios, such as the SL30, and ease of integration with KX155 and KX165 models make it an ideal choice. For legacy replacements, the TX56A tray provides a seamless fit.
