Push Step
The TX57’s clear display shows both primary and secondary frequencies along with identifiers for airfields and VORs. Its ‘Push Step’ knob provides fast transitions between 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz spacing, allowing for rapid frequency changes. The Dual Watch feature further enhances the TX57, letting you monitor two frequencies at once, similar to having a secondary radio onboard.
Say Again
Equipped with the ‘Say Again’ function, the TX57 enables instant playback of the last transmission, ideal for pilots who may get momentarily distracted. This one-touch feature is helpful for students and professionals alike, reducing the need to request repeated transmissions from air traffic control.
VOR
The TX57’s Nav receiver simplifies navigation, automatically decoding Morse identifiers for VOR or ILS stations. The receiver can monitor a secondary VOR, which allows for dual radial display—enhancing route navigation and providing rapid, accurate position fixes.
Built-in CDI
A graphical CDI (Course Deviation Indicator) is featured on the TX57 display, enabling direct navigation without an external CDI. The TX57 supports a variety of cockpit instruments, allowing seamless integration. When tuned, it auto-decodes VOR Morse codes and centers the CDI needle to provide a direct bearing, allowing easy toggling between inbound and outbound radials.
Product Design
Designed to be highly efficient, the TX57 does not require external cooling fans. Its slim profile makes it ideal for forward or retrofit installations. The TX57 fits easily with popular legacy radios such as the SL30 or KX155/KX165 models, providing a straightforward upgrade path. For installations, a dedicated TX57 tray is available to ensure optimal integration and performance.
