This is the rear seat repeater unit for the LX8040. With the same size format as the LX8040, it is designed to fit into the rear seat of a two seat glider and includes a 57mm i8 vario repeater or can be upgraded to include an 80mm i80 vario repeater.

Any LX90xx/LX80xx rear seat repeater can be used with any LX90xx/LX80xx front seat unit. This means for example you could have a larger display (LX9000) in the front, and a smaller display (LX9050 or LX8040 or LX8030) in the back where space might be more of a premium.

The successor to the original LX8000 series is here. 2021 sees the birth of the next generation of small compact high end navigational instruments and 8040 is spearheading it. It comes packed with a V8 variometer (optionally with V80). A 4.0″ anti-glare display that fits everywhere and an automatic light sensor that adjusts that brightness and optimizes the power consumption.

Airport mode navigates to a selected airport with all necessary information, such as RWY direction, length, frequency and type (grass/asphalt). Each page layout can be completely customized using LX Styler.

 

Waypoint and Task Mode.

Very easy selection of Waypoints with an intuitive user interface. Create a task on the device or in SeeYou and simply load it via the SD, USB or Wi-Fi.

Assigned Area Task AAT.

The AAT assistant shows the most optimized direction for maximum speed on the task. A very accurate time calculation helps you to arrive home precisely on time.

FLARM Mode.

This feature displays all types of FLARM objects. ADS-B and PCAS objects can also be displayed if compatible, external devices are connected.

 

FLARM Visual Radar With Audible Warnings.

The Radar shows all necessary data. The target’s present position, altitude and vertical speed are displayed on the map. For each new alert a pop-up appears automatically when a potential collision occurs. The system will also trigger a sound and/or voice warning.

 

Internal/External.

Flarm/PowerFlarm can be either an internal or an external module.

 

ADS-B In.

Optionally can be built in.

Wi-Fi. Now integrated.
